In:Resonance is een ruimtelijke geluidsinstallatie die resonantie, akoestiek en de wisselwerking tussen architectuur en sonische waarneming onderzoekt. Zestien unieke luidsprekersculpturen—een netwerk van resonerende buizen die door de ruimte zweven—vormen een steeds evoluerend ecosysteem van geluid. Deze buizen fungeren als dragers van trillingen, die frequenties transformeren terwijl ze erdoorheen reizen en tegen het plafond weerkaatsen, waardoor de architectuur van de kerk zelf verandert in een instrument.

Beleef een avond waarin de installatie tot leven komt door live optredens, waarin elektronische texturen, akoestische interventies en generatieve klanklandschappen samenkomen. Het concert verkent de spanning tussen geluid en sacrale stilte, en versterkt de dialoog tussen de gebouwde omgeving en de vergankelijke aard van klank.

Tegnander & Aina Font

Andreas Tegnander is een componist en geluidskunstenaar. In zijn werk onderzoekt hij ideeën over de waarneming van geluid, waarbij hij wetenschappelijke, technologische en filosofische perspectieven samenbrengt om de vraag aan te pakken: “Wat kan worden waargenomen?” Zijn muziekproducties bestaan uit zwaar bewerkte akoestische instrumenten, synthese en stem. Hij wordt vergezeld door saxofonist Aina Font.

Max Frimout

Max Frimout is een muzikant uit Eindhoven, Nederland, met een achtergrond in technische natuurkunde. Zijn methoden voor muziekproductie omvatten het gebruik van analoge modulaire synthese, veldopnames, algoritmische compositie en digitale verwerking van akoestische instrumenten. Tijdens In:Resonance zal hij live texturen verkennen en het systeem onderzoeken met zijn modulaire synthesizeromgeving.

Casimir Geelhoud

Casimir Geelhoed (NL, 1995) is een elektronisch muzikant, componist en softwareontwikkelaar die expressieve relaties tussen software en geluid onderzoekt. Terugkerende thema’s in zijn muzikale werk zijn overstimulatie, introspectie en kwetsbaarheid. Vaak maakt hij gebruik van zelfontwikkelde software, waarbij hij geïnteresseerd is in het poëtische potentieel van geluid dat door digitale middelen wordt getransformeerd. Geelhoed heeft performances en installaties gecreëerd voor verschillende festivals, waaronder CTM Festival, Sonic Acts, Rewire, Fiber Festival, SPATIAL en Aural Spaces. Zijn muziek is uitgebracht op de labels Janushoved, Posh Isolation & Post Hoc.

Dit evenement markeert de officiële activering van de installatie, en nodigt het publiek uit om geluid te ervaren als een sculpturaal, architectonisch en belichaamd fenomeen—waar resonantie de onzichtbare krachten onthult die onze perceptie van ruimte vormgeven.

IN:Resonance IN:Concert

In:Resonance is not a typical concert, not a gallery piece, not a club night. It’s a sonic phenomenon that can’t be replicated anywhere else. Three sound artists will be interpreting the sound installation exploring resonance, acoustics, and the interplay between architecture and sonic perception. 

Sixteen unique speaker sculptures—a network of resonating tubes suspended throughout the brutalist church—form an evolving ecosystem of sound. These tubes act as carriers, reshaping frequencies and being thrown up against the ceiling, turning the architecture of the church itself into an instrument.

Join us for an evening where the installation comes to life through live performances, blending electronic textures, acoustic interventions, and generative soundscapes. The concert explores the tension between noise and sacred silence, amplifying the dialogue between the built environment and the ephemeral nature of sound.

Andreas Tegnander is a composer and sound artist. Through his works, he explores ideas about the perception of sound, blending scientific, technological, and philosophical concepts to address the question: “What can be perceived?”His music production consists of heavily processed acoustic instruments, synthesis, and voice.

Max Frimout

Max Frimout is a musician from Eindhoven, The Netherlands, with a background in engineering physics. His methods for music production include the use of analog modular synthesis, field recording, algorithmic composition, and digital processing of acoustic instruments. At In:Resonance, he will be performing live textural work and exploring the system with his modular synth environment.

Casimir Geelhoed (NL, 1995) is an electronic musician, composer, and software developer who explores expressive relations between software and sound. Recurring themes in his musical work are overstimulation, introspection, and fragility. Often making use of self-developed software, he is interested in the poetic potential of sound material transformed through digital means. Geelhoed has created performances and installations for various festivals, including CTM Festival, Sonic Acts, Rewire, Fiber Festival, SPATIAL, and Aural Spaces. He has released music on the labels Janushoved, Posh Isolation & Post Hoc.
